Panic Button is an educational, answer-based privacy exposure assessment for U.S. consumers. It helps you identify common risk patterns and decide what to address first.
Does Panic Button search every website for me?
No. Panic Button does not search websites, data brokers, breach databases, or public records. Results are based only on your answers.
Do I need to provide my Social Security number?
No. Panic Button never needs your Social Security number, passwords, banking details, security answers, or identification documents.
Is the assessment really free?
Yes. The ten-question assessment, score, recommendations, and downloadable summary are free. The more detailed Complete Privacy Action Plan is a separate $29 one-time offer.
Will Panic Button remove all of my information?
No. Information changes frequently and removals cannot be guaranteed. The paid plan offers educational removal guidance and a practical process to follow.
Is Panic Button identity-theft insurance?
No. Panic Button is not insurance and does not reimburse losses.
Is Panic Button a credit-monitoring service?
No. It does not continuously monitor credit files, accounts, or identity signals.
Is Panic Button a law firm?
No. Directive CodeX is not acting as a law firm, and Panic Button does not provide legal advice or representation.
How long does the assessment take?
Most people complete the ten questions in about three minutes.
Does Panic Button sell my answers?
Panic Button does not sell assessment answers. Assessment answers remain in your browser’s local storage.
Can I use Panic Button for a family member?
You may help an adult family member with their permission. Avoid entering information about someone who has not consented, and do not use the service for surveillance.
What happens after I purchase?
After Stripe confirms payment, you will continue to the intake step for your Personalized Privacy Action Plan. Paid access is granted only from Stripe’s verified payment confirmation.
