Terms of Use
These Terms govern your use of Panic Button, an educational privacy-awareness self-assessment and report service provided by Directive CodeX.
Educational service
Panic Button provides general educational privacy-awareness information based on answers you provide. It is not legal advice, cybersecurity advice or a professional security audit, financial or credit advice, credit monitoring, identity-theft monitoring, insurance, law-enforcement assistance, or an emergency-response service.
Estimates and no guarantees
Scores, risk levels, findings, and recommendations are estimates generated from user-provided answers. Panic Button does not guarantee that it will identify, locate, monitor, remove, prevent, or resolve every exposure, fraud attempt, identity-theft event, stalking concern, account compromise, public record, or security incident.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of your answers, the decisions you make, and the security of your accounts, devices, passwords, email, and recovery methods. Review third-party instructions carefully and seek qualified professional help when appropriate.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse Panic Button to investigate, track, harass, stalk, threaten, impersonate, deceive, or collect information about another person without lawful authority and appropriate consent. You may not interfere with the service, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, or use the service unlawfully.
Intellectual property
Panic Button’s software, reports, written content, visual design, logos, and brand materials are owned by Directive CodeX or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Your purchase permits personal use of the delivered report; it does not transfer ownership or permit resale, republication, or removal of proprietary notices.
Third-party links and services
The service may link to or rely on third parties, including Stripe when checkout is enabled. Third-party services operate under their own terms, privacy policies, availability, and security practices. Directive CodeX does not control third-party sites or guarantee their content or results.
$29 purchase and delivery
The Personalized Privacy Action Plan is offered for a one-time price of $29.00 with no subscription. When checkout is enabled, payment is completed through Stripe-hosted Checkout. A successful browser redirect does not by itself confirm paid access; delivery proceeds only after Panic Button records Stripe’s verified payment event. After verification, the customer is directed to the secure intake step needed to prepare the action plan. Delivery timing depends on completion of required intake information and the available delivery workflow.
Disclaimer of warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Panic Button is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, complete, or suitable for every situation. Nothing in these Terms excludes rights that cannot legally be excluded.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Directive CodeX will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for losses arising from reliance on educational results, third-party services, unauthorized account activity, or events the assessment does not identify. Legal limitations vary by jurisdiction, and this section does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

These Terms are subject to applicable law. Questions about these Terms or the service may be sent to the support address below.
